12 Kidnapped Victims, Including 2 Year- Old, Rescued in Kwara State

 

In a Bold rescue operation, a joint security team in Kwara State has successfully freed 12 kidnapped victims, including a two-year-old child.
 
The victims, comprising 11 market women and a toddler, were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers along Ajassepo/Okeode Road by Oyi bridge between Yaru-Olayinka in Ifelodun council of the state.
 
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Ejire-Adeyemi Toun,revealed that the rescue operation was carried out after a thorough search of the forest where the victims were being held hostage.
 
The security team, comprising hunters and vigilante groups, worked tirelessly to ensure the safe release of all the abducted persons.
 
Some of the victims sustained injuries during the rescue operation and were taken to the General Hospital, Share, Ifelodun council, where they received treatment and have since been discharged.
 
The Coordinator of Kwara South Joint Community Security Watch, Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, commended the joint security team for their efforts in rescuing all the abducted persons.
 
He praised their gallantry and steadfastness in ensuring the safe release of the victims.
