Kaduna Judge’s Son Killed by Abductors, Family Held for RansomBy Uthman Oriyomi

In a harrowing incident, gunmen abducted Janet Galadima-Gimba, a customary court judge, along with her four sons from their residence in Mahuta, Kaduna on June 23.

The abductors, numbering around 15, stormed the home at night while her husband, a medical doctor, was away on duty.

Tragically, the abductors killed the judge’s 14-year-old son, Victor Gimba, on July 2 after the family failed to pay the demanded ransom.

Gloria Ballason, CEO of the House of Justice, condemned the incident and called for urgent government and security intervention.

The abductors are demanding a N300 million ransom and have threatened to continue killing their captives if it is not paid.

The Kaduna state police command confirmed the incident and stated that efforts are underway to rescue the victims and investigate the killing of the boy.

Ballason emphasized the need for protection of judicial officers and the constitutional mandate to ensure the safety of all citizens.
