2 Nigeria Pilgrims Dies in Mecca



Tragedy has struck the Nigerian Hajj community in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, as two pilgrims, Tawalkatu Busare Alako and Muhammad Suleman, passed away during their pilgrimage.
 
According to reports, Tawalkatu Busare Alako, from Kebbi state, died on May 25, while Muhammad Suleman, from Argungu Local Government Area, passed away on May 26 after a brief illness. 
 
Their funerals and burials took place at Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba) according to Islamic rites on the same days.
 
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed condolences to their families and the Kebbi State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board. 
 
Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, Executive Chairman of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, also extended heartfelt condolences to the families and people of Kebbi state.
 
The Nigerian Hajj community in Mecca has been left in a state of mourning, with prayers being offered for comfort and eternal rest for the deceased pilgrims. May they rest in peace.
